Frequently asked questions

Frequently Asked Questions

Plain answers about what Scriptura is, who built it, how The Sequence Method works, our HIPAA posture, EHR integration, and how Scriptura differs from adjacent tools.

What is Scriptura Health?

Scriptura Health is clinical decision support and clinical intelligence infrastructure for cash-pay longevity practices. It is not an EHR, not telemedicine, and not a pharmacy. The clinician always diagnoses, prescribes, and signs.

Who founded Scriptura Health?

Scriptura Health was founded by John Murray and Sabrina Runbeck, MPH, MHS, PA-C. John is a healthcare entrepreneur and patient advocate whose personal journey through recovery, chronic pain, sleep health, and longevity optimization inspired a mission to help clinicians and patients navigate increasingly complex healthcare decisions. Sabrina is a Physician Associate with more than 16 years of experience across cardiothoracic surgery, hospital medicine, emergency medicine, and public health. Licensed in eight states, she has supported more than 14 hospital systems throughout her career and advised healthcare organizations, founders, and investors on clinical strategy and healthcare delivery. Together, they built Scriptura to help clinicians deliver safer, more informed, and more efficient longevity care.

What is The Sequence Method?

The Sequence Method is an eight-stage clinical workflow: Intake, Lab Read, Risk Band, Priority Stack, Intervention, Sequence, Clinical Follow-up, and Re-entry. Every recommendation carries a defensible rationale.

Is Scriptura Health HIPAA compliant?

Scriptura operates as a HIPAA Business Associate under 45 CFR Part 164 Subpart C. Infrastructure is AWS-native, with BAA available on request. The company is pre-production and has not yet processed live patient data. Scriptura makes no third-party certification claims.

Which EHR systems does Scriptura integrate with?

Scriptura integrates with Epic, Oracle Health, AdvancedMD, CharmHealth, NextGen Healthcare, and eClinicalWorks. Additional EHR support is added upon request.

How is Scriptura different from MyDose?

Scriptura and MyDose serve overlapping practices but do different jobs. MyDose is clinic management software that replaces the operational system. Scriptura is clinical decision support that makes prescribing decisions defensible inside the EHR the practice already uses. Scriptura integrates with Epic, Oracle Health, AdvancedMD, CharmHealth, NextGen Healthcare, and eClinicalWorks. MyDose asks the practice to switch platforms.

Is Scriptura the same as consumer peptide tracking apps like PeptIQ or PeptideAI?

No. Consumer peptide apps and direct-to-consumer telehealth serve patients directly. Scriptura is decision support for the prescriber. Scriptura sometimes appears alongside those tools in search results, but it is not the same product or the same buyer.

What does Scriptura monitor for regulatory changes?

Scriptura monitors four federal regulators (FDA, DEA, FTC, USP) and all fifty state medical and pharmacy boards. The federal scan runs daily at 7am ET. State board scans roll out weekly. Details are on the Regulatory page.
